In the life of Octave Rimbert-Rivière, vases with sometimes exaggerated proportions and angular volumes, teapots that appear stretched or shaken, cups with tangled handles…; in short, curious shapes or deformations of all kinds, depending on the point of view adopted.

Production begins on the computer, with a design phase supported by the use of IT tools—developing the shape, volume, and molds that will enable its materialization—followed by manual manufacturing tasks—working with clay, glazing, firing…

All this might seem very controlled, except that Octave Rimbert-Rivière revels in accidents and manufacturing errors imposed on him by the machine, and takes great pleasure in incorporating these glitches into his practice, as they open up immense possibilities for him. […]
